In the Chellappa Lab, we are dedicated to studying the dynamic role of metabolism in driving complex phenotypes in health and disease.

We employ inter-disciplinary systems biology approach to tackle biological questions of interest. We foster an inclusive work environment to bring diverse perspectives from team members and collaborators to science and innovation. We believe that science is for ALL and strive to make STEM more accessible. We are strong proponents of open and collaborative science.

2024

March 4th: Narendra Joshi from MCB graduate program starts his rotation in the lab.

Feb 19th: Devin Bemis from Pathobiology graduate program starts his rotation in the lab.

November 12th: Isabelle Pilo from MCB graduate program joins the lab as a rotation student

September 25th: Brianna Pendergrass, first year student in the MCB graduate program starts lab rotation.                  

June 26th: Aanya Rao joins our lab as a remote high school student from Singapore

June 1st: Ian Kim and Owen Lockwood join as undergraduate summer interns

May 1st: Tony Comeau joins the lab as a Senior Research Associate

May 1st, 2023: Opening of the Chellappa Lab. Karthi's first day at brown
